See Our Carpets and Rugs at the Frederick Law Olmsted Museum

Dover Rug & Home was recently selected as the purveyor of rugs and carpets to the Frederick Law Olmsted Musuem in Brookline, MA.

Frederick Law Olmsted (1822-1903) is recognized as the founder of American landscape architecture and the nation’s foremost parkmaker. Olmsted moved his home to suburban Boston in 1883 and established the world’s first full-scale professional office for the practice of landscape design. During the next century, his sons and successors perpetuated Olmsted’s design ideals, philosophy, and influence.

Guided tours of the Frederick Law Olmsted National Historic Site have resumed this month. All tours are free and open to the public, but some do require advance reservations. Call 617-566-1689 or visit for more information.

It was a very competitive process and we at Dover Rug are honored to have been selected to provide our beautiful floor coverings to this historic site. For more information about our carpets, rugs and other services, visit our website.
