The Citizens Foundation (TCF) Boston Chapter held its second annual fundraiser on April 11, 2015 from 6PM to 10PM at the Sheraton Four Points, Norwood MA. The event was well attended and a resounding success thanks to the generous support of donors, volunteers and guests!
The benefit provided information about TCF and its great work, the Boston chapter, and raised funds to start a TCF school in Boston’s name. The lively evening featured a live auction, dinner, presentation and entertainment from Azhar Usman, an American comedian.
Mr. Mushtag Chhapra, TCF co-founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors delivered the keynote speech.
The Cittizens Foundation is a volunteer driven nonprofit organization which funds schools and education programs for underprivileged children in Pakistan. TCF focuses on building a civil society in Pakistan and promotes gender equality by providing quality scientific and balanced education.
One of TCF’s current initiatives is the “141 Schools for Peace” project, which is a commitment to build 141 schools in memory of each of the 141 innocent children who were victims of the Peshawar school attack on December 16, 2014.
As TCF’s 19th United States-based chapter, the Boston chapter continues the organization’s amazing work to educate and improve living conditions for children and society in general in Pakistan and promote peace in the region and the world. The mission of the Boston Chapter is to continue raising awareness about the goals of TCF and start a TCF school in Boston’s name.
