Dover Rug & Home Participates in Concord Museum Holiday House Tour

Dover Rug & Home is pleased to be a gold sponsor of the 2nd Annual Concord Museum Holiday House Tour, taking place Saturday, December 8th from 11:00AM –to 4:00 PM. Presented by the Guild of Volunteers for the Concord Museum, the tour features seven distinct residences professionally decorated for the holidays by some of the area’s top interior designers. Each style home, from Colonial to Victorian to Shingle, will feature and highlight a different holiday theme. We encourage everyone to stop by and kick off your holidays in a beautiful way.

Dover Rug & Home is collaborating with Boston-based interior design firm Duffy Design Group on the Greek Revival home featured on the tour.

Advance tickets (through December 6) are $40 Concord Museum Members; $45 Non-Members. After December 6th or day-of tickets are $50. Stop by Dover Rug & Home between now and Friday, December 7th and enter to win 4 tickets to the house tour!

Tour Programs and Maps must be picked up at the Concord Museum on the day of the event beginning at 11:00am.

A Message of Hope from Dover Rug & Home

Every rug has a story to tell. But what kind of rug would you weave to tell the story of this year? 2012. All of our interlocking moments of sadness and of joy. Threads of eternal hope. Dreams of peace. A great national conversation about the future. The power of nature. The power of love to heal and to help. All the great ups and downs of our world. A story that, perhaps, can only be told in the symbols and traditions of the weaver. Spun naturally…as it is given. As any great story…an artist’s attempt to bring significance to our harried lives.

Rumi, considered the greatest of all the great Sufi poets and mystics, had this to say – “Out beyond ideas of wrong-doing and right-doing there is a field. Let’s meet there.”
